The Joys of MaterialismIn my enthusiastic rush to leave, I found my self staying up late last night packing my backpack for my trip to Europe. I didn't consider in my feverish madness however, that I don't actually leave for another 10 days.
This is when it hit me - I had a completely packed bag, and realised that I could survive the entire preiod before leaving without recovering one single item from within it for use. Now I'm not implying that I was planning on spending my last days as a free-of-burden-hippie type, because quite frankly for all those who know me, personal hygiene is the type of burden I not only willingly tolerate, but gladly welcome into every realm of my existence. No no, I mean that I have so many things that I could maintain the status quo of my lifestyle to the tee, subsisting entirely on all the 'left overs' in my room. In fact, to be totally honest, I could pack them away too and would probably still find that I have more than enough spares of everything to last me at least another year or two as well.Toiletries, make-up and undergarments included. I'm beginning to think that I'm a bit of a hoarder.
